Who do you wanna be?

Jesus tests Philip

In one of Jesus' most well-known miracles—the feeding of the five thousand—we discover that the story is about far more than bread.

When Jesus asks Philip, "Where are we to buy bread, so that these people may eat?" (John 6), He isn't looking for information. He's revealing what Philip is relying on. Philip immediately turns to numbers, logistics, and human limitations. But Jesus was inviting him to see through the eyes of faith.

The same question confronts us today.

Who do you want to be when you grow up? Better yet... who has God called you to be?

When life's tests come, where does your hope rest? Do you trust in your experience, your abilities, your resources, or your plans? Or is Jesus truly the One you depend on?

This sermon explores how easily we place our confidence in ourselves while forgetting the One who calls us, provides for us, and works through us. Join us as we study John 6 and discover what it means to live from dependence on Christ instead of dependence on ourselves.
