Special Needs Director

Qualifications:

The kids@grace Special Needs Director will …

· be in a dynamic and growing relationship with Christ

· be living a life of integrity and submission which flows from personal Gospel transformation

· have the ability to collaborate and connect relationally with people

· demonstrate the ability to adapt and learn

· possess strong communication skills

· be an ideal team player

· have a passion for seeing the children at GCC learn and experience how much Jesus loves them

· possess good organizational and self-direction skills

· possess good speaking and teaching skills

· have a vision and desire to expand the special needs ministry to help and assist more families and ministries within Grace Community Church

General Responsibilities:

· Build and grow the Special Needs “Buddy Burrow” Ministry including but not limited to: recruiting & training volunteers, maintaining intake process, and assisting other rooms in managing special needs children

· maintaining a positive and safe classroom for special needs children

· Assist in pastoring & caring for Buddy Burrow Families

· Serve on the weekend and build relationships with families and volunteers

· Be a resource to kids@grace and other ministries inside of Grace

· Bridge connections with outside organizations

Additional Responsibilities:

· Attend staff meetings and other team meetings as required by the Executive Director and kids@grace Director

· Assist when help is needed to cover any area of ministry at Grace Community Church.
