Position description: Provide leadership to the Nursery, Toddler, and Preschool areas of the kids ministry.
Hour Requirements: full-time (40 hours); must be able to work Saturday and Sunday services in addition to in-person weekday office hours

-be in a dynamic and growing relationship with Christ
-early childhood and/or kids ministry experience
-be living a life of integrity and submission which flows from personal Gospel transformation
-be an ideal team player – have the ability to collaborate and connect relationally with people, demonstrate the ability to adapt and learn, possess strong communication skills
-have a passion for seeing children at GCC learn and experience how much Jesus loves them
-possess good organizational and self-direction skills
Responsibilities:
• Curriculum Preparation:
-Write and review the weekly curriculum
-Brainstorm and prepare weekly classroom activities
-Classroom setup before weekend services
-Overall organization, cleanliness, and excellence of classrooms
• Volunteers:
-Able to pastor Early Childhood volunteers and have a relational mindseto PCO (Planning Center) scheduling [Nursery, Toddler, Preschool] – fill in scheduling needs and communicate with volunteers on weekend needs
-PCO Workflows – including but not limited to: volunteer check-ins, new volunteer onboarding, family follow-ups, child dedications, etc.
-Train volunteers and step into a classroom when needed to assist and guide
• Weekend Execution:
-Pastor volunteers, children, and parents – answering questions, providing resources, etc.
-Serve at 3 services per weekend in the capacity assigned; attend or listen to GCC sermon weekly
-Collaborate with Service Coordinator and Director on back-up plans, noshows, check-in flow, security protocol, etc.
-Ensure rooms are ready to host and receive children
-Checking in on classrooms/staff/volunteers during service and providing solutions as problems arise
-Learn to Direct and Service Coordinate when needed
• Other:
-Attend and help with kids special events
-Collaborate with team, bring ideas, listen to ideas and be open toconversations for furthering the ministry
-Attend team and staff meetings
-All else as assigned
