Why We Exist

Grace Community church exists to reach the unchurched by being intentional neighbors that reflect Christ. We are passionate about people and our community because we know God is!  We believe in being intentional neighbors by invading the local community on First Friday, helping at risk kids get the supplies they need when going back to school, feeding thousands at various events, and shutting down Main Street in Lakewood Ranch to hold a candlelight service at Christmas time. We are passionate about our faith and serving others. If you used to go to church, got burned out by religion and rules, have never stepped into a church, aren't quite sure about this God thing, or new to the area then we believe we are a place for you.

What To Expect

We understand that visiting a new church can be very intimidating. We want you to feel extremely comfortable while you are here. We will welcome you but not pressure you in any way. We want you to feel right at home.

  • Clothes: Grace is a casual attire church. We want you to feel comfortable.
  • Service Times: Saturday 6 PM / Sunday 9, 10:15 & 11:30 AM
  • Childcare/Children’s Church: Available all services!

  • What can I expect in a Grace Service? A diverse culture, lively worship, a great message, God’s presence, lots of smiles, some handshakes and a few laughs! About an hour long.

Our History

In 2010 Grace Community Church started with just a handful of people, a small place to meet and a dream to grow a church that was fresh, real, powerful and relevant.

God was faithful and the church began to grow – eventually outgrowing its previous facility. Pastor Chip and the other leadership prayerfully decided to relocate to Lakewood Ranch – where Grace has continued to grow - going from 1 to 4 Weekend Services!

Grace Community Church is a non-denominational church that centers on having a real and vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ. If you are looking for a fun, real, non-traditional, life changing, applicable to life church that ministers to the entire family, then Grace Community Church might just be the place for you!

Our Pastor

Dr. Chip Bennett serves as the Founding Senior Pastor of Grace Community Church. Chip is a very bright and talented young man, being both an accomplished Pastor and successful Businessman throughout his life.

Chip also serves as an adjunct professor in multiple universities, training the next generation of Pastors. His education is as follows:

  • M.A. – Theology
  • M.A. – Classic and Hellenistic Literature
  • M.Div. – Theology
  • D.Min – Literary Biblical Preaching & Teaching

Chip's education, coupled with his real life experience gives him a very unique skillset when it comes to preaching and teaching. You will hear the Bible in a new and fresh way, as Chip uses practical application, literary understanding and the imaginative gift of story in his weekend messages.

Chip and his wife Mindy have a wonderful family. His hobbies include reading, electric guitar and being an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan!

Our Beliefs

The Bible is the inspired word of God (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

God eternally exists as the perfect love of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1-26; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-2; 4:24; Acts 5:3-4; Romans 1:20; Ephesians 4:5-6; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

Jesus is fully God and fully man. He came to earth, was conceived in the Virgin Mary and lived a sinless life. He died and rose again to reconcile all people to God and to free them from the power of sin and the devil. He will return someday and consummate the building of his Kingdom (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-38; Romans 9:5; Titus 2:13).

All people are sinners and need to have a saving relationship with God. People are made children of God when they repent of their sin, place their trust in Jesus Christ and commit their life to him (Genesis 1:26-27; 3:1-24; Romans 3:25; 5:12-18; 1 John 1:8).

The Holy Spirit continually draws believers closer to God, transforms them into the image of Jesus Christ, empowers them for ministry and distributes spiritual gifts to the Church. Believers are to always seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit. (John 16:5-15; Romans 8:16, 23, 26, 27; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31)

Baptism and communion are two ordinances the Lord has given the Church. The only form of baptism we practice is believer’s baptism by immersion and we celebrate communion the first Sunday of every month. (Baptism: Acts 2:38-41; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 8:26-40; 10:47; 18:8; Romans 6:3-4. Communion: Acts 2:42-46; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29)

Though it has multitudes of diverse expressions, there is only one Universal Church of Jesus Christ. It consists of all who have a relationship with Jesus Christ. The primary purpose of the Church is to use every possible means to advance the Kingdom of God against the kingdom of Satan. (Romans 12:4-6; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6; Ephesians 2:19-22; 4:12-16; Hebrews 10:24-25)
