Galatians Week 6 - Dr. Chip Bennett
Here's some questions we thought about from this sermon:
- What do you think it really means to be God's people?
- What do you think about creating "generous spaces" for everyone at our tables?
- How can we make everyone feel welcome?
What spoke to you? Your sisters & brothers in Christ would love to hear your thoughts!

In order to "expand our tables" we need to listen before we speak. Pastor Chip uses the example of Jesus talking to the woman at the well (John 4:1-45). "Listening is a skill that we've lost. We talk over everything." If we are to truly be inclusive and accepting, we've got to get to the heart of people and build relationships before being so quick to judge or tell people where there opinion or viewpoint is wrong. Also this (during verse 3): "Fear will make you do things that you didn’t think you would ever do." That's good! Don't let fear change you. (For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. –2 Tim 1:7)
